PA-7018-A1
AWS Specification :AWS A5.5 E7018-A1
JIS Specification: NONE
Other Specification:DIN 8575 E Mo B 26
I. APPLICATIONS:
Welding of 0.5% Mo steel used for high temperature and high pressure boiler, pressure piping and tubing and other pressure vessel, chemical and oil refining industries.
II. DESCRIPTIONS:
PA-7018-A1 is an iron powder low hydrogen type electrode for all-position welding which provides the weld metal of 0.5% Mo.
III. NOTES ON USAGE:
-
Dry the electrodes at 325-375ºC for about one hour before use.
-
Preheat at 100-200ºC and post heat at 620-680ºC.
-
Adopt back step method or strike the arc on a small steel plate prepared for this particular purpose to prevent blowholes at the arc starting.
-
Keep the arc as short as possible.
